  1. Keep Your Kitchen Cool With A Type II Condensate Hood

    Commercial kitchen spaces are prone to getting excessively hot due to the foods being cooked, the excessive amount of heat being produced through the kitchen equipment, and the amount of people crammed into cooking lines. It could be the dead of winter and your kitchen space could be excessively hot. An exhaust hood system removes dirty air, but unless your system is set up with a Type 2 Condensate Hood then it is pulling out all air, hot or cold. By utilizing a Type 2 Condensate Hood you can ensure that all of the hot and heavily moisturized air is being pulled out, leaving behind cool air that will naturally cool the entire environment.

     

    Different types of equipment require different types of hoods, so a Type 2 Condensate Hood may not be usable as your only exhaust hood. If you are using any kitchen equipment where grease is being produced then you have to go with a Type 1 Exhaust Hood, which are specially designed for removing grease and other particles from the air. You can however integrate a Type 2 Condensate Hood to an existing exhaust hood system that is using Type 1 as long as the Type 2 hood is not over any of the grease-product kitchen equipment. Commercial appliances that a Type 2 hood can be installed over include light-duty ovens, dishwashers, toasters, steam tables, and rice cookers.
